I am a new fan in MD after catching only your portion of Oprah today. Thank you for praising God in those few minutes and letting your faith shine through. It absolutely did. I pray for you peace, the kind that comes only from God. Oh, and congrats on your brand new baby daughter. : )

Matt & Ginny,
I am moved beyond words for your loss of Eliot. But almost as equally moved by your strength, your love, to each other as well as to Eliot. Although I do not know you, I am estactically happy for you both in the upcoming birth of your second child!!! Congratulations and wish you all the happiness you both deserve.

Mooneys, It was strange to flip on the TV after I put my baby girl down for a nap and see your faces on Oprah. It has been many years since those K-Klassic summers! I know your story has touched millions and I pray that this Oprah exposure will bring many more strangers and old aquaintences back into your circle of prayer and support. Sending you big hugs and congrats on baby Hazel from Indiana.

I will try my hardest to watch oprah on friday. I saw your story today and am so proud of your witness for Jesus. I know that neither oprah or celine truly understood where your strength comes from and how you are able to face each day. Hopefully you will be able to actually talk more on friday and share the hope of seeing Eliot again that we have in Jesus! May He bless you and keep you!

Your story caught my eye because I have some friends who had named their son Elliot and he went to be with the Lord this spring. He had a cystic kidney. After he was born he lived for 2 hours with them in the hospital. Thank you for sharing. I know your faith has provided much strength to other families walking through this same pain.

I would like to thank the two of you for sharing your story with the world. On April 2, 2008 my husband and I were blessed with our miracle daughter. We were told during our pregnancy that she may not survive and we were given the option of termination. Our faith in God is so strong, and we knew we were hand selected by Him when he blessed us with the pregnancy.
God hand selected you and knew you would appreciate the beauty of life and all the miracles in it. Eliot was put on this Earth to bless many people's lives, and I am thankful that God chose you as his parents to help him celebrate and enjoy every minute that he lived. I know that Eliot will help you celebrate the upcoming birth of his sibling as well. He will always be with you!

Matt & Ginny,
I can not tell you how much your story touched my heart when I saw it on Oprah! And I am so moved by your love to each other and to Eliot as well as your courage and trust to God. In my language (Swahili) we say "Damu nzito kuliko maji = the blood is heavier than water meaning People who are related by blood have "certain instict" that connect them so I believe Eliot will be happy to welcome his sister/brother Congratulations and keep that strong love forever. You inspire us.

I had never heard about baby Eliot until I watched Oprah today. What a beautiful story and how wonderful that you shared it with so many. Eliot was a very lucky little boy to have such wonderful parents who gave him so much love in his short life. You have also given a reminder to all of us to enjoy every single day we have. Everyday is a gift that we need to make the most of. Congratulations on your new baby girl or boy. What a lucky child to have the two of you.

I have been following your family's story for a long time and was so excited to see the update on Oprah today. I was overjoyed a few months ago to see you were expecting and went online after Oprah today and had fresh tears all over again. Your daughter is beautiful and I cannot express how happy I am that you can experience another beautiful journey with your second child. Congratulations to you both. I wish all three of you a long, happy, and healthy life together as you continue to celebrate your cherished first-born. I pray that Hazel will one day know what a special big brother she has.

Matt and Ginny,
Congratulations on Hazel!! I watched Oprah and cried as if it was the first time I had watched Eliot's 99 days of life (which I have watched a thousand times). I was so proud to know you, to know him even if just through your blog. I was so proud that you got to share Jesus with the world and I was so proud of my Mary Grace and that we were blessed with our miracle child too. I bet so many people are now curious of Jesus who never have been before and I bet searches are being done about Trisomy 18 - "incompatable with life" People will choose life who may not have without meeting your sweet Eliot.
May God continue to bless your family.
With love in Christ,
Kim
I will be watching on Friday!!!

Matt & Ginny,

I found you through Oprah. I cried, and I smiled. M first child was diagnosed with Trisomy 18. My outcome was very different, we lost Reagan at just over the 1st trimester. I had no idea, that I had lost her, that she had Trisomy 18 or really what had happened, the rug was pulled out from under us. I made a scrapbook of ultrasounds and cards to help me. It does help, it doesn't fill the void, but it helps. I also am so happy for your new addition. We now have two children. I am thankful everyday. When my son was born I was freaked out something would happen. Even today as he is close to his 3rd birthday, I worry. I have to tell myself to have faith in the Lord. I especially like the quote at the end of the video from Job. Keep up the good work, you are wonderful example. I don't know what to say or how to express it well. I am glad I found you, I will cherish going through your blogs...Ginny I especially liked the one about hand sanitiser, you put the words right in my mouth. Thank you...when your child isn't born...like Eliot...people have a hard time understanding your greif. They feel you should just get over it. It is a life altering event. You heal to an extent, but things are not forgotten they are surreal and can be vivid in a matter of moments. Today when I cried and watched the video, I also smiled.
Again Thank You!

I was so excited the minute Oprah started today and I saw Eliot's picture. I knew immediately it was him even though I had no idea you guys were going to be on Oprah! You have no clue who I am, but I have followed your story and sent others your way. I lost my first son and work for a charity that helps families with pregnancy and infant loss so your story is very special to me. As soon as I saw Eliot's adorable face, I got chills knowing his story would be told to such a wide audience. Congratulations! And a huge congrats on your new baby!

I saw you on Oprah. I had never heard about your sweet baby boy or your story before. Like everyone else watching I was sobbing! I was very suprised to see you are in Fayetteville. My husband and I lived there in 2006 and moved to a town south of there to buy a house. We both still go to Fayetteville for work and school. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story and a small part of your life with the rest of the world. I went immediately to kiss my little girl and baby boy.
Oh, CONGRATS on your new baby girl! I saw that she has been born.

matt and ginny,

oh my goodness. thank you for your hearts and your love for the Lord and your precious baby Eliot. i watched the oprah show today and within 2 minutes was balling. i am 10 weeks pregnant, and i just wept at the thoughts that flooded my mind as i heard your story - how devastating, but how beautiful, how sad, but how just like God to use Eliot to teach you and the world about true love, perseverance, commitment and faith. you made what most would consider a tragedy, a beautiful example of trusting God and leaning not on your own understanding. Wow. you have inspired me beyond measure...that i can trust God and should always trust Him with regards to my baby on the way. it's hard to admit we have no control over their lives, but we don't - only He does. and i thank you for sharing your journey and eliot's life with all of us so we could be blessed and moved to trust Him continually...to make the most out of every day...to rejoice always and trust that He uses all things for the good of those who love Him.

thank you, thank you, thank you. and congratulations on your new baby girl...God is so faithful!

Matt and Ginny, What an amazing God we serve!! I was thrilled to hear(Lee Ann Guest James emailed me) that Eliot was making a world wide appearance! Even though I do not watch Oprah anymore because she has gone WACKO, I tuned in to see your precious Eliot shine for Jesus. I have seen 99 balloons several times, and everytime I cry. I love how it touched their very core. Also exciting is that people will come to your blog and read about a Mighty God who loves them, and wants to know them intimately. Thanks for sharing Eliot with us, for being so open and real, and letting God use you in a mighty way! Congrats on your second little blessing!

I feel so blessed to have "met" your family through the Oprah show today. I had never heard of Eliot's condition prior to this, but as a mother I am so sorry for your loss. It is unimaginable to me. I found it interesting that while I watched this piece with my 7 year old son, we all wept and you looked at peace. Once the balloons were released and the show cut to commercial, my son turned to me and asked " so the baby lived for 99 days?" He followed with... "it would have been really cool if he lived one more day, then it would have 100 days being in love with his mom and dad, then 100 million days in love with God! But 99 days probably made him really happy, too." Life and death in the eyes of a 7 year old! It made me smile to hear he was putting himself in Eliot's shoes instead of how I was thinking from a mother's perspective. I wish all the luck and happiness that God has to offer with this new baby! She comes fully equipt with a guardian angel!

Dear Matt & Ginny, I found your video August 22, 2007 when it was recommended by my hospital. We too had an early diagnosis of Trisomy 18 for our baby Katherine . I have watch your video many late sleepless nights and have been moved deeply each time. I was so moved that I emailed the Oprah show in January 2008 your video clip and mentioned the Trisomy 18 diagnosis for babies. I missed today's show, but I hope to catch a re-run. I hope to speak with you sometime in the future. My husband & I wish you many blessings for you, Eliot and you new baby Hazel. God bless.

I always tell my self I should never watch oprah because it makes me cry almost every time and by some randomness I changed it over just seconds before your video played and while I nursed my 3 month old son and putting the dresses on the princesses for my 3 year old daughter and I watch and cried and my daughter was so concerned and didn't want me to cry any more and when she saw your Eliot she thought it was her brother since he had a rough start and spent many weeks in the nicu. You both are such beautiful people and so inspirational thank you for your story my children are getting extra hugs and kisses today, your story is really touching and beautiful thank you so much!

Wow! I am sooooo moved by your story. I can't tell you how I felt when I watched it today. I lost my baby at 22 weeks due to him having no kidneys or bladder. You are so incredibly blessed to be able to spend 99 days with your son. I look to my son as my guardian angel. He has gotten me through a lot. He is also my 1 yr daughters angel. You are so strong and I especially liked when you said that "I'll be sad later" not many could do that. But what a great outlook. I wish you the best with your new daughter. Take Care--Leonda

P.S. I also had wanted to commend you about how during the segment it was stated that Eliot had changed your lives. I never knew Reagan, but she has changed my life forever, as well. I just wanted to share. While pregnant with her, I was going to school to change my profession from Accountant to become a Teacher. During my pregnancy I encountered a teacher who had approached me about special education and I had laughed her away. After I lost Reagan, my perspective changed, and after my first son was born, eight months later, I accepted a special education position. That job also changed my life. She may have left this Earth for a better life, but she still continues to touch my life.

I am stunned, and I am in awe ... 3 days before Christmas 2001 our baby was diagnosed with trisomy 18. No one we knew had even heard of it. We waited in pure agony thru what should have been a glorious time, only to find out it was a false positive. Your grace and strength in the face of this is beyond amazing. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl, and on all the other blessings God will surely send your way. You are both an inspiration, and please know Eliot will forever remain in our hearts as a reminder to always be grateful for all that we are given. Bless you, bless you.

I realized today that all the things that I complain about mean nothing and I am truly blessed to have my health. When I have children, I hope to be half as great as you. I've been keeping up with you guys for a while now. My son had many of the "soft markers" for T18 first seen during a routine screening. Reading your story and watching your video helped us a lot. Praise God, our Sam did not have T18 and was born free of any health problems. But I can't tell you how comforting it was to read your story and see how you guys were coping when we were facing the possibility of the same diagnosis. Congrats on your second child. Can't wait to see her if you are on Oprah on Friday.

What a positive, mature remark to such a difficult situation. God bless the both of you and again, congrat's on the new baby. Hope all is well and I know how much you are enjoying it.

You all will be in my thoughts and daily prayer. Praying peace and love from the Father fills you, and that you are daily reminded that His glory shines through all of this! Eliot's little life was not in vain, it meant something to many! I am truly blessed.
Congrats on your new baby girl! I look forward to seeing more pictures! :-D

I saw your blog about Eliot months ago. I was led to it by another friend. I'm amazed at your courage and strength. I wish that you could of included Eliot's "girlfriend" in the Oprah story. Your families are simply amazing. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.

I have been a long time follower of Eliot's blog. I found it through the Robinson's blog (I have grown up in Fayetteville and still live here). When I saw Eliot's picture at the beginning of Oprah yesterday I was so excited! You both did a wonderful job and look forward to seeing you again on Friday's Oprah. As God continues to use Eliot's story here on Earth, it must make you so proud. Congrats on the baby girl also. She is so beautiful! Praying for Friday's show.

I watched your story on Oprah and was in tears the entire time. I can't even imagine the loss you feel. But you both are so inspiring. I have two little girls and after hearing how much you celebrated each day of little Eliots's life, it makes me want to be a better mother and take in all the precious moments of life. I am so happy for you to have a new special spirit in your home. Thank you so much for your strength and faith in God.

Well, I am only 15 but my aunt sent the 99 Balloons Video of Elliots story to my mother and she had me watch it. I was so amazed at your guys faith and your praises for God. I love children and plan on having some one day. This story really touched me and helped me realize that no matter what the circumstance is it's still important to have faith and praise god. I'm so sorry for your loss, but congrats on your new addition.

Thank you for sharing the journey of your precious son. I am touched. I know what it is like to celebrate the month birthday's. I made my son a birthday cake when he turned 18 months old. Our son is now 3 years old. He is also a miracle.

I forwarded your story to someone whos precious daughter also went to be with Lord. Thank you for the scripture at the end of your video.

Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Thank you for sharing the journey of your son. I too celebrated each day. On my son's 18 months birthday, I baked him a cake that said "Happy 18 month Birthday". It may seem silly but I know you appreciate the meaning.

Our son is now 3 years old and was diagnoised with Thanatophoric Dyplaysia. Praise God that in his weakness God is made strong.

Thank you for sharing that verse at the end of the video. I emailed the video to someone who's precious little girl also went to be with the Lord. May that verse bring her comfort.

I saw your video 99 balloons on Oprah yesterday with my mom, and I was extremely moved by the video and your story. You two are extraordinary people who have an amazing faith in God. You are both amazing parents as well. Eliot was most certainly sent here for a reason and he shined God's light for not only you two to see, but now all of us have seen it. It amazes me how God works. Eliot was such blessing and I will continue to pray for your family and your new little daughter and that your life is truly blessed by God. You two deserve all the happiness and joy in the world and I know God will bless you both with that. :)

I saw Oprah yesterday and was just thrilled to know your sweet Eliot is still impacting this world for Jesus.
I found your blog for Eliot a long time ago, just after he had gone home to Jesus.I am not sure if I have commented before or not but...
Then last November, at our 20 week ultrasound we were given an "incompatible with life" diagnosis and told our baby would live only a few hours at best. He is 8 months old today!!!

Eliot and you guys were a great source of encouragement to us through our whole pregnancy.

Many congrats on baby Hazel.

Matt & Ginny,

I stumbled upon your blog and the 99 balloons video earlier this week. I know a little girl who died on September 1 at 3 days old from Edwards Syndrome... Your story has been a great encouragement as I process the reasoning behind her short life.

I have worked at a church for 3 years now, but no schooling or ministry experience could have prepared me for the feelings I have felt over the past two months.

Thank you for sharing your story - its been a blessing.

Dear Ginny & Matt,
Thank you so much for your bravery in sharing your son's life with the world! I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like to have spent 99 days with your son, and then for his time on earth to have ended. Just watching your tribute to him on Oprah and youtube.com has turned me into a puddle, as well as everyone else that I've showed it to, and reading your past blogs on your other blog site have had the same effect. I had not heard of you or Eliot prior to Tuesday's Oprah show, and I have not been able to get you out of my mind since then. I've watched the 99 Balloons tribute a few times now, and what comes to mind every time are my two kids (2 yrs. & 6 months), and without going on and on (as I'm known to do :-), I just want you to know that you and Eliot are my heros; he was so adorable, not to mention an amazing fighter! And of course congratulations on the birth of your beautiful daughter, Hazel. With sincere respect, and warmest regards, Bianca

I happened upon your blog through a friend's facebook who's status said you would be on Oprah today. I had some time here at work and started reading your blog, I then began reading Eliots blog and was moved to tears. A few hours have gone by and after reading post after post I was stunned when I read Ginny's post on January 10, 2008. Not only is that my birthday, but praying to God and asking him for a life that isn't normal is something I've prayed for myself since I was 12 years old. I am now honored to read your words and your story, to see the gift God has given you through Eliot and your new little one. My life is changed through your story and countless others will be as well. I thank God for you and will pray for you in the coming days.

I know my message is one in hundreds, but after learning about your family on Oprah today (I tivoed!) I forced my husband to sit down with me to watch your story. As parents of three young ones, all conceived through reproductoin medicine, we thought we understood blessings and each day we cherish our children as much as we know how. After seeing your story, you bring a whole new meaning to devotion, love and strength. You are the true meaning to "mother" and "father" and unconditional loving care. There is no doubt that Eliot lived a full happy life in your hands. God Bless you and your new baby on the way. I have been moved more than I ever thought I could...

Thank you for sharing your hearts and being honest. That is hard to do with grief.... not to just say oh we're ok.... We know.
