a big deal birthday

today, Hazel is 6 months old. that may not seem like that big of a deal to some...kids turn 6 months all the time. but i assure you that to us, it is huge. our hearts leap in celebration of 6 whole wonderful months with eliot's kid sister. gratefulness to the One who gives her & us breath & life & purpose are exploding from the Mooney house today.

we continue to be very aware that we are "those parents"...who are unashamedly gaga over her & can't take enough pictures. here are a few from today.
Happy 6 month Birthday Hazel

Happy birthday Hazel!

Y'all, she is just the epitome of CUTENESS. I want to just hug all over those tiny rolls of baby fat and dimpled fingers and toes. SO CUTE!!! You are so blessed.

I L-O-V-E the wrist rolls - people tell me all the time that it looks like there's a rubberband around Sullivan's wrist :) Don't you just want to kiss her ALL the time? Babies are the best. Rejoicing with you both.

I can't take the cuteness!! How is it she's 6 months old, and mine is 9 months old and counting??? It goes by in a blink of an eye. God is SO good though!!!

Enjoy your precious GIFT!!!!Not many people can truly enjoy it all like you both can.

Much Peace!

Happy birthday to a very sweet and very loved little girl!!!

I think it is quite good to be crazy about your children!! I always tell people, "I may not be a perfect parent, but my children know without a doubt that they are loved!!" It is a good thing.

She is beautiful!

So, so fun! Thanks for sharing this special day. If you've read the book "Same Kind of Different As Me" (which you should for a number of reasons but partly b/c it's set in Fort Worth and Nina Walker's parents are in the book and mostly b/c it's a fantastic biography), they look at each other each morning and rejoice because they're alive and they've made it through another night.

I actually thought of y'all and how that must have been your lives with Elliot for those too few days with him. 6 months is definite cause for rejoicing :) Grateful that you have that precious little girl!

I found your sons video on you tube tonight and was in tears for most of it. Being a blessed mother of 7 I can't imagine losing one. Congrats on having two beautiful children and Happy Birthday to your precious bright eyed little girl.

I laughed when I saw photos of your daughter; she reminds me of my little spiky-haired girl!

Thank you for sharing your story and thoughts about your children. I am grateful to you and our dear Heavenly Father.
